Do check for leaks where you're suspecting there are leaks. And make sure the coolant cap is tight and undamaged. The system might need to be burped as well. Do bring it to the dealer since you're new!My Pan America's running hot, and the coolant overflow is empty again after being filled by the shop. i'm a new owner so please help me out. Thanks!
If you haven't fixed the problem, I suggest you stop riding it for a moment. Overheating can cause serious engine damage! Like @castleonthehill, I suspect a coolant leak too. It can be the cap but it can also be the coolant hoses and connections. You can also check the water pump area and the radiator. If the leak isn't so visible, it might be internal which is more serious. if that's the case, a trip to the shop is your best bet! Make sure to explain to them in detail what happened. They should pressure test the system to pinpoint the leak.My Pan America's running hot, and the coolant overflow is empty again after being filled by the shop. i'm a new owner so please help me out.
