How to keep a gas tank clean

I've been trying hard to keep the top of the gas tank clean from drops, but I haven't had too much luck. ANyone has an idea how to clean the drops and maybe give me a tip on how not to do it again?

Wipe the drops immediately with microfiber cloth but don't rub, be gentle. Spray with quick detailer and wipe with microfiber cloth and do not overfill the tank, stop when the pump clicks. Add the fuel slowly on the lowest setting on the pump to prevent backsplash.

one tip from me to stop future drops is to listen for the pump's first click and stop. Don't overfill. Remove the nozzle slowly
