Upgrading seats on a 2023 model

Setting up my new (secondhand) ride, which is a 2023 model with stock seat. My wife and I, we're dinks, and we are planning a 1,200-mile trip. Problem is, she's already complaining after short rides. Have you guys here tried a Saddlemen or Corbin on the newer models? Or does the stock seat break in better after a few thousand miles?

I experienced a similar issue during a long trip with my wife some time ago. The original seat was comfortable at the beginning, but it became quite painful after a couple of hours. I ended up switching to a Corbin seat, it's firm at first, but it's so much better for extended rides. Saddlemen's seat is great too, though it does need a little more time to break in. If you're planning to cover 1,200 miles, I'd definitely recommend not waiting for the stock seat to get softer and just go for one of those options. It really made a huge difference for my back.

I agree with @DualSportPan, your stock seat won't break in enough to be more comfortable especially with your wife already complaining. Saddlemen and Corbin are both solid choices but I went with Saddlemen and it's been good for passenger comfort! A comfortable wife is key to a happy trip! Good luck!

That break in period shouldn't take 2 years, so the seat is already broken in. Not sure about specific recommendations, but what about a custom one? They're tailed made, so you can choose how you want it made, both visually and in terms of comfort.
